Luv Is In The Air

Hello there everyone!!

I have a sweet simple card to share with all of you!! I think this is one of my first very clean and simple cards or as you call it CAS.. a very different technique from what I make otherwise.

It is a congratulations card with a handwritten sentiment on the cloud. Hey all the things on the card are hand-cut..right from the clouds to the little birdies to the big pink heart except for the two little hearts on the cloud (they are punched). 

I cut out all the images and put them upon the black background. The copper wire is glued to the card to give a fence effect. To add the bling, I have made a faux-stitch with glitter and written congratulations with the same glitter. Also thanks to my lil brother for the smoldering (he does that to his electrical projects) that gave me those round silver glitter stickies. :)

  

Oops I forgot to mention that both the birds have been placed on wooden pink-colored clips. And this can be used to personalize it by putting small pictures.

Valentine Day Special: Love Is In The Air

Hellllllllloooooooo Everyone!!

I know this is my post after a very very long time!! No excuses..but my internship is just keeping me too busy!! Apologies !! Hey but now I'm back with a bang!!

As this is Valentines week and Valentine's Day is just round the corner..I thought of making this love-themed card.

For the card, I chose this lovely Magnolia Tilda with the heart baloon (Yes!! love is in the air).

I have added a wooden pink butterfly, pretty pink and white flowers, pearls, a pink heart, white lace and a blue ribbon in contrast as embellishments!! Also, please do not forget to see the detachable tags on the right-hand side of the lovely image. There are two tags attached together with the brad and the twine. One of the tags has the symbol of love: the Eiffel Tower and the other one has a printed love sentiment 'Love is actually all around'.  The background  pink-heart paper just adds to more love.

Love You To The Moon And Back!!

Hello Folks,

As promised, now creativity will be pouring in from our end every now and then..

So now, I have yet another card to share it with all of you. Although it was to be put as a DT card at the Simply Create Too Blog's last challenge # 53 (Valentine's Day or Use Hearts). But as err is to humans, my card was lost in the beautiful creations by the other DT members. But no regrets, as wonderful Diane put in this mid-post for the next challenge.. so that I don' feel bad (So sweet of you Diane!!)

I think this card suits the ongoing Love is in the air theme!!

I loved the sentiment and it had a heart too. So, I designed the card keeping the sentiment in my mind. I colored the lovely magnolia image in blue and the the moon is yellow and the star is greyish white.. The background paper gives it a night look. Also, I added some punched stars here and there to give it a starry night look. The edges of the card have been distressed with brown color and the edges of the patterned paper have a red-colored faux-stitching made by me. Also, I added a yellow ribbon (to match with the moon) with a metal moon hanging below it (apologies for the bad photography..as it is hardly visible).

Time To Celebrate Magnolia !!

Hello And A Very Good Morning Everyone!!

I know..its been really really long (Well more than a month...must say)..that I did a post. But some things at personal front kept me extremely busy and hence, could not make new cards. But now, that I am back..I have many cards to share with you!!

But today I'll just share just one card..

I loved the base color of the card..its lemon yellow and so, I colored the lovely Magnolia image with faber castell and staedtler color pencils to match with it. I then layered it with a patterned paper. I had an old die-cut out in brown with goes with the theme of the card..and so I placed it too. The flowers along with the yellow feather are just some of the embellishments used.  But the ones to notice closely are the green rhinestones on the corner of the image and the beautiful glittery butterfly. I have distressed the image with a mud-brown color and the base of the card with a grass-green ink.

One of my lovely friend liked it and bought it!!..And she asked me to put a SOLD tag over it.. (wink..wink)..Hope you guys like it too!!

My Date With The Desktop Calender

A very Happy New Year to all of you!!

2013 has been pretty eventful for our blog as we started participating in craft challenges. We won quite a few of them. We met plenty of creative people and got to know them too. 

Personally, I want to specially thank everyone on the design team of Simply Create Too (a special thanks to Diane) for their love, care and affection for bringing out more creativity in me. It's an absolute pleasure and a delight to be a part of this wonderful design team. Besides thanks are due to all the blogs (C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog, Through The Craft Room Door Challenges, 4 Crafty Chicks Blog) that gave me an opportunity to showcase my work by inviting me as a Guest Designer on their blogs.

A very special thanks to my lil sissie Tanvi for being such a support for all the blogging that I do.. oops we do, and for bringing out the best in me.

I usher in the new year with a beautiful desktop calender that I received from Tanvi as a New Year gift.

I have already placed it on my desk and I must admit that everybody is loving it!!

Tag Fold Card (Order By Client)

Hello Everyone,

As I mentioned in my last post, that along with the box , I made a matching tag-fold card. So, here it is.....

I chose the same color combination, as I chose for the box i.e. shades of blue and some pink, white and brown. But, blue is surely dominating..The card has 14 folds, 28 leaflets in total (it was the client's bestie's 27th birthday..but I some times like to add one for the future)

The cover has some corrugated sheet to give the raw look, along with the lace and a big pink glitter rose flower. I have decorated the folds with punch craft and added glitter to each fold to give that bling effect. Also, the leaflets are transparent  with ribbons attached to pull them out and have 28 birthday wishes on them..(phewww..I had a hard time searching and writing 28 birthday wishes). But I think, the hard work was paid off and everybody liked it.
